History professor Dr. Jesse Esparza invited Koran and Vietnam war veterans to Central Campus to be interviewed by his class as part of his digital storytelling project. The interviews will be archived and preserved as part of the Latino Americans: 500 Years of History, produced by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the American Library Association (ALA).Professor Esparza participated in HCC's Digital Storytelling workshops conducted by Storycenter.org.

In celebration of Black History Month, the Dance Department of HCC Northwest hosted the 9th annual Akwaaba Dance and Drum Festival Feb. 25 - 27 at the Spring Branch campus.The activities scheduled for the three-day event included a variety of African dance and drum workshops for children and adults.
