The Fourth Ward Excavation Project is a training excavation run by the Archaeology Department of Houston Community College. Since 2012, HCC archaeology students, under the guidance of Professor Scotty Moore, have been investigating the historic Freedmen's Town neighborhood, also known as Houston's Fourth Ward.
