Dr. Alan M. Kraut, professor of History and International Service at American University in Washington, D.C, author and editor of nine books, and former chair of the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island History Committee, will speak on Immigration and Work in America: A Historical Perspective, 9:30 to 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 4, in LHSB Room 100.
Dr. Kraut was invited to speak at HCC by the History Department. His talk is part of the Organization of American Historians Distinguished Lecture Series. The lecture is free and open to all.
