In the Summer of 2016 HCC and MECA (Multicultural Education and Counseling through the Arts) held digital storytelling workshops. The workshops were made possible as part of a grant from The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the American Library Association (ALA), commemorating “Latino Americans: 500 Years of History”
There were approximately 201 participants, 18 were full workshop participants, and these are their stories.
HCC faculty conducted the workshops after taking Digital Storytelling training from the HCC Digital Storytelling Initiative. The professors are:
Dr. Lydia French, Daisy Ngo, Stalina Villarreal, and Dr. Jesse Esparza.
