So many times, instructors receive email from
students with questions readily answered in their syllabus, but many students
do not want to take the time to hunt through a long syllabus for a specific
issue. In turn, the professor/instructor has to take time out from their busy
schedule to respond to their students’ emails and inquiries. With a chatbot, the student can
pose their question electronically first, getting answers in a timely manner,
and reserving a direct email to the instructor if more clarification is needed.
