Douglas David's Omnivision art exhibit was held at the Reality Collab on March 2 at 6 pm. Ruben Dominguez from FOX 26 Houston visited the IDEAStudio Makerspace February 23, 2023. He spoke with LaShan Arceneaux, graduate of our Houston Made program for creative entrepreneurs, as well as our IDEAS Academy students who were learning screen printing with Mexico City artist Jay Berrones. Visualizations and Simulations for IDesign

Interior Design faculty and the XR Lab & Studio have been collaborating for 5 years introducing XR technologies in the IDesign Curriculum. It's great to see students' engagement and expose them to the upskilling opportunities these emerging technologies offer to the AEC field. They are exposed to simulators such as Enscape and Twinmotion, AR room scanning, and much more. InDesign is one of the most innovative areas at HCC.

Gravity Sketch Workshop

A magical day full of creativity during our first Gravity Sketch Workshop where participants learned to create & collaborate in Virtual Reality. They came from near and far to join Brett Akop and Edwin Cruz in this all-day full of fun and tips on how to Think in 3D and Design in 3D. VAST VR STEM Camp22

Amazing week engaging students at the 2022 VR STEM Summer Camp in collaboration with VAST Academy and sponsored by the Texas Workforce Commission. Students created their own individual avatars and Metaverse sites where they scanned/uploaded 3D objects for reverse engineering, learned drone photogrammetry, iPad lidar scanning, completed missions aboard the ISS, and flew their own simulated drone flights.
